About The person behind the lens
Videographer and photographer, based in Mareeba. Grew up in the Far North, trains Muay Thai, and shoots both like he means it.
Chapter 01
Zane grew up in Far North Queensland and has spent his career shooting the region most crews fly in and out of. Home studio in Mareeba, on location across Cairns, the Tablelands, Port Douglas and Townsville. Reef, rainforest, red dirt and tropical light are the backdrop, not a novelty.
Chapter 02
Zane trains Muay Thai, and it changes how he shoots combat sports. He knows the angles a fight actually happens from, the timing of a strike before it lands, and the moments a generalist would miss because they have never stood in a ring.
Chapter 03
Years of training and shooting locally means direct relationships with fight promoters across FNQ. He is not turning up cold: he knows the promoters, the fighters and how fight nights run up here, and that access shows in the coverage.
Chapter 04
Big-city production crews charge travel fees and lose a day getting here. Petralia Creative is already in the region and already knows the light, the locations and the logistics, without a flight booking.
